Taylor and Dalton went camping with mutual friend groups in the summer of 2022. Their close friends (Sadie and Gianni) wanted to set them up that night but Taylor and Dalton said they weren't interested in dating anyone. As the night was winding down Taylor was hammocking with her friend when Dalton joined them. Taylor and Dalton ended up talking until 4am when they finally said "goodnight" and went to their tents. Dalton asked friends the next morning "Who was the girl I was talking to all night?" Taylor's sister Ashlyn was there too, so Dalton's friends thought he was asking about Ashlyn instead of Taylor. Later, Ashlyn showed Taylor a sweet text from Dalton and said, "I think this text was meant for you." Taylor and Ashlyn laughed about the mix-up, and Taylor figured she would give him a hard time next time they saw each other. The next "run in" was 6 mos. later at their friends Gianni and Sadie's housewarming party. They talked and Taylor joked, "Do you know my name?" Dalt blushed and Tay clarified her name and that Ash was her sister. Dalt later asked Sadie for Tay's number, ultimately leading to Dalton taking Tay on a unique first date. Dalton took Taylor to the Gem Studio where they spent 3 hours together creating rings of their choice (clearly that was a sign they were meant to be!) They've been inseparable ever since. Dalt proposed on 1/12/24 at The Butterfly Emporium, which was beyond magical. They can't wait to spend the rest of their lives together.
